Wednesday Night Xplosion #45: November 29th, 2006

Show Opening

The show opens up with Vince McMahon coming out and announcing that there is a new Assistant General Manager for Xplosion... and he is also the EWE World Heavyweight Champion... Chris Ceno! Chris Ceno comes out and talks about his match against Nero Phoenix later in the night and says how much of an honor it is to be the new AGM... Chris says his first order of business was giving Sean Lewis the night off... and that he wouldn't abuse his powers for his match against Nero... then Piper came out and said he didn't have a problem with Chris... but that Extreme Evolution is banned from ringside for the main event... and Piper found a special ref for the match...

Backstage Chris Ceno is talking with Vince McMahon, James Cage, and Kid Kronic... Chris talks about Doc getting hurt at a house show, then Chris says instead of vacating the titles... they would hand them to James Cage and Kid Kronic! Vince agrees... then once again, Piper walks in... and says they can have the belts... but have to defend them next week against Mortis and Johnny Chaos!

Snake Vs. Fuse

The EWE hall of fame member puts on a hell of a showing against the awesome new comer. Fuse hits an amazing gorilla press slam that shakes the whole arena. Snake almost hits the snake bite, but Fuse counters it into a modified choke slam backbreaker... Snake kicks out at 2! Snake tries a low blow on Fuse when Fuse is lifting him up, but Fuse kicks Snake in the face and hits the Circuit Breaker and gets the 3 count...

Winner: Fuse

Very close match, very back and forth... then the shock lock gets well... locked on... and X-Kid has to tap to Ceno... Close one...

Standard Match

Mortis{c} Vs. Leroy

The best of the Pure... I mean ECW Ultimate division... Leroy and Mortis fight back and forth in a good old fashioned Pure rules match... only allowed 3 rope breaks... Mortis almost hits the Ringamortis, but Leroy ducks out of the ring... Mortis goes to jump out of the ring... and Leroy moves! Leroy picks up Mortis and drops him on the guard rail... then tosses him into the stairs... Leroy tosses Mortis back into the ring and locks on a Boston Crab... he uses the ropes but the ref doesn't see it... Mortis finally taps...

Winner: Leroy (New Champion)

Johnny Chaos Vs. White Tiger

Easily the highlight of the night... these two old school EWE boys put on a hell of a fight. Johnny Chaos even locked White Tiger in the Tiger's Snare just a few moments into the match, but WT got out of it. Drama tries to help Johnny... but White Tiger sends her against the guard rail... Johnny checks on Drama... but when he goes to get back in the ring... WT hits the baseball slide! WT climbs out as well and the fight ends up near the entrance ramp... the ref starts the 10 count but the 2 get back in around 8... they exchange some more blows... Johnny Chaos ends up running into the ref on "accident"... Johnny turns around and gets locked in the Tiger's Snare! He starts to tap... but there is no ref! White Tiger drops the hold and tries to wake up the ref... the ref gets up... and Johnny rolls WT up from behind... 1... 2... KICK OUT! The crowd erupts... Johnny gets up quickly and stalks WT... Johnny goes for the Extreme Make Over... but WT reverses it and hits a modified rock bottom... then locks on another Tiger's Snare! Johnny starts to tap...

Winner: White Tiger

EWE X-Division Championship

Standard Match

Stealth{c} Vs. Benji Homan

The X-Division at it's best. It was the third meeting between these two, and hopefully we get to see them in action again... Benji Homan proves why he was the X-Division champ... an Stealth proves why he won the title... a lot more then tables gets involved... Benji pulls ladders out, Stealth gets chairs... shit gets nuts. Some crazy things go down... like Benji falling off the ladder, bouncing off the top rope and kicks the ladder back over with Stealth on it... Stealth hits a huge powerbomb on Benji with a unfolded chair set up under him... the big bang of the match though comes from Benji leaping off the top rope, over the ladder, grabbing stealth with a hurricanrana and tossing him out of the ring and threw a table! The bell sounds even though both men were down... HOLY SHIT!

Winner: Benji Homan (New Champion)

After Nero Phoenix and Chris Ceno make their way to the ring... Piper comes out and says it's time to bring out the special ref for this title match... then suddenly the lights drop down and "St. Anger" starts up... the crowd goes nuts as EMPEROR BEN walks out... Australia literally tips over in amazement... Ben tell the crowd to not get any ideas, because he is not signing with the EWE, but when they came to Australia... he couldn't NOT be involved... the bell sounds and the crowd goes crazy...

Special Guest Ref: Emperor Ben

Chris Ceno{c} Vs. Nero Phoenix

It's student vs. teacher... and a match that will go down in history... Ceno and Nero start off with a series of lock ups and very technical exchanges. Ceno ends up slamming Nero hard into the turnbuckle to take the advantage... Ceno sets Nero up on the top rope and executes an awesome top rope fisherman suplex... he gets a 2 count... he lifts Nero back up to his feet and shoves him into the corner again... Ceno starts to choke Nero... Ben breaks it up, and Ceno shoves Ben away... Ben shoves Ceno back... and Nero dropkicks Ceno in the back then climbs up to the top rope... Ceno turns around and gets hit with a missile drop kick! Nero covers... 1... 2... kick out! Nero picks Ceno up and hits a hard scoop slam, then hits the ropes and connects with a jumping knee drop... Nero then locks on an arm bar... Ceno fights it off while Ben asks him if he's gonna tap... Ceno grabs the ropes, and Ben looks away... the crowd erupts... Ben turns around after a few seconds and breaks the hold... Nero and Ceno both get up... they circle each other... Nero tosses Chris into the ropes, Ceno ducks the clothesline, Nero ducks Ceno's... and Ceno knocks Ben over! Piper is shown running down to the ring... he checks on Ben while members of Extreme Evolution come out onto the ramp... Piper points at them and warns them to not come down... Nero goes to German suplex Ceno... but Ceno lands on his feet... Ceno then hits the Pantherizer! Ceno covers Nero... but there is no ref... Ceno rolls off Nero and slides out of the ring... he grabs a chair and pushes it into the ring... Piper climbs in and tries to stop Chris, but is hit with the chair! Ceno starts to stalk Nero... Nero starts to get up... then from the crowd, someone slides into the ring... its SEAN LEWIS! Sean gets behind Chris... Chris turns around and gets a super kick to the chair right bouncing it against Chris' head... Extreme Evolution starts to run towards the ring as Sean grabs the chair and slides out of the ring... Ben is starting to get up... Sean chases Extreme Evolution up the ramp... Nero gets up and points to the sky... he hops up onto the top turnbuckle... then he takes flight and connects with the Fall From Grace... he covers and Ben makes the count... 1... 2... 3!

Winner: Nero Phoenix (New Champion)

After the match, a flock of EWE superstars including White Tiger, Cameron Hayden, James Ceno, Benji Homan, and others run down to the ring... Ben raises Nero's arm in the air and hands him the EWE World Heavyweight title... the scene fades away with Nero being raised up on everyone's shoulders...
