The scene opens up on the Ladies Night stage as fireworks shoot off from all the corners. The announcers welcome everyone to the show and inform them that Stephanie McMahon had to leave for a undisclosed period of time. But she does have a temporary replacement. The fans erupt when "Beverly Hills" by Weezer plays as Brooke McGuire walks out on the stage, wearing a dress suit. She explains to everyone the way that the Queen of the ring is going to work. She also regrets to inform the fans that Trish Stratus would not make it to the show, still being "injured" from Extreme Overload. Also Abby Addictions flight was delayed so she wouldn't be making her debut either. She tells everyone to have a good show before disappearing to the back.
SIN DEFEATS HEATHER LOVE Heather Love is in the ring as Drama makes her way to the ring, followed by a cloaked individual. The woman takes off the cloak to reveal it is Sin! She takes no time destroying Love in less then a minute, sending a message to the Divas backstage.
We are backstage as Lita and Mickie discuss their matches later tonight. Lita proudly shows off her newly won Divas title. Mickie seems less than impressed as she leaves for her match
MICKIE JAMES DEFEATS AJ LEE Mickie jumps in the ring and levels AJ with a super quick Mick Kick before the bell even rings. Mickie pins and the ref counts three.
Brooke walks out of the back as Mickie is leaving the ring. She informs AJ that even though Stephanie left instructions to fire her, Brooke believes in second chances. AJ has one more week to show she wants to be here before she is fired. Mickie reaches Brooke and gets in Brooke's face, telling her that the Queens are in charge of Ladies Night. Brooke answers this by pushing Mickie down. Mickie jumps to her feet and Brooke gets ready to fight. Mickie walks away, scoffing at Brooke. Brooke looks like an idea just hit her and disappears through the curtain.
LADY LILAC DEFEATS LEYLA MELANI Leyla doesn't even get off a single move as Lady Lilac dissects her in a few seconds.
We are back in the locker room area where Brooke has settled into Stephanie's office. The door opens and Kelsi Parr walks in, looking pretty sour. She blames her latest losing streak on a certain Diva who started her losing ways. Kelsi requests a match next week against Lady Lilac! Brooke tries to talk her out of it but Kelsi will hear no part of it. Finally Brooke agrees, much to the delight of the fans.
ANNIE FUGATE DEFEATS ANGELA FORTIN Angela seems distracted and Annie is quick to take advantage of it with a Stroke of Midnight. She gets the three, advancing in the tournament.
Backstage Lita and Mickie have cornered Sunshine. Sunshine looks worried, ready to defend herself. Annie rushes in and we have a pushing match before the referees separate them. Brooke walks on and is verbally assaulted by the Queens and by Annie, wanting to know why she isn't maintaining order. Brooke informs them that they will meet in the ring next week. It will be Annie teaming with Lita to take on Mickie James and Jessica. And if either team tries a cheap pinfall on the other, that team will be disqualified from Queen of the Ring. The four girls are in shock as Brooke walks off.
LITA DEFEATS CHRISTY HEMME The first real fight of the night. It goes back and forth with several near falls until Lita finally nails a Twist of Fate out of no where getting the three.
Brooke is back out as Lita is celebrating. She was so impressed with the match that she is going to go ahead and let Hemme enter the tournament as well. Lita doesn't like this. What she likes less is when she is spun around and hit with the "Comfortably Numb" by Hemme. The crowd cheers as Hemme leaves the ring.
JESSICA FUGATE VS AMELIA PIETERSEN ENDS IN NO CONTEST This match went back and forth forever, Amelia not believing the fight that Jessica is bringing to her. After about ten minutes, they take the fight on the floor. Amelia knocks Jessica out with her Triple X. Noticing the referee is at eight, Amelia runs to the ring. She tries to climb in but someone under the ring has grabbed her leg. The referee counts ten and counts out both people. Amelia ducks down and looks under the ring but can't see who screwed her over. The crowd boos.
Brooke is back out again, saying that she can't let it go like that. Therefore, both Amelia and Jessica are in the tournament as well. She says the eight participants will be: Amelia Pietersen, Lady Lilac, Sin, Mickie James, Lita, Christy Hemme, Annie Fugate and Jessica Fugate. And next week, the tournament bracket will be released. She tells everyone goodnight as Annie rushes down to check on Jessica and Amelia continues her search under the ring.
